If you have developed your own chatbot or are using a chatbot development platform to create one, PhoneMyBot gives you and your customers the ability to make a voice call using a telephone or other applications and engage in a voice conversation with your chatbot.
PhoneMyBot transcribes what your customers say and sends it as text to your chatbot, then takes the text in your chatbot’s response and reads it back to them.
PhoneMyBot doesn't decide what to say to your customers: your chatbot does. Your chatbot also controls the PhoneMyBot end of the call through the PhoneMyBot API.
PhoneMyBot connects to a growing number of chatbot platforms using their native APIs, implemented in Chatbot Adaptors. In this case, there is potentially nothing that a chatbot developer needs to do to use PhoneMyBot.
PhoneMyBot also provides a general API to transcribe voice messages into text. This is useful when your customers are chatting with your bot, but then record a voice file as one of the messages. Several messaging platforms allow this, the most commonly used being WhatsApp. PhoneMyBot supports WhatsApp through a dedicated number.
